Mercy Steam 6338
is normally fed to supply corrosion & scale protection for the
steam boiler tubes (Water Side) and using low hardness feed
water.
Mercy Steam 6338
contains a blend of tannin & polymers which will make a filming
layer on the tubes & precipitates hardness salts within the
boiler thus preventing the formation of hard, insulating scale
at heat transfer surfaces.

can be
dosed simultaneously with amine on the feed line in a very
concentrated rate (function of make up TDS).
Mercy Steam 6338
is
controlled by a tannin index test on the boiler water. The
specific control ranges vary depending upon system operating
conditions and will be specifies by the technical representative
servicing the facility (required reserve = 120 - 160 ppm).
